Processes - New Chip Filters
You can now use chip filters to filter records on the Project Processes page.
Using this new filtering method, you can perform the following actions:
- Apply preset filters: Quickly filter items by process, status and what's in your court.
- View All Filters: Click the All Filters button to access all the filter options in a panel.
- Select Filters: Select one or more filter options from the All Filters panel.
- Enable sub-menu filter selections: Click a filter sub-menu to make further selections by process, status or step.
- Apply text filters: Enter text in the Filter By field to filter records and return results containing the specified search criteria.
- View Currently Applied Filter Counts: The number of filters currently applied are displayed as a badge on the All Filters button.
- Reset Filters: To reset all the filter selections back to the default, click the Reset Filters button beside the chip filters or inside the All Filters panel.

Schedule - Updated Date Format
The Schedule module will now have a new format for dates (alpha month, year). This update allows e-Builder to support international teams with date clarity.
New Date Format in the Schedule Module
Snapshots and History will use the new date format on new entries.
This change will not impact the importing or exporting of schedules.
Documents - Viewer Updates
To alleviate detrimental impacts to page loading performance when File Thumbnails are enabled, e-Builder has limited the display of File Thumbnails to solely image file types with the following extensions:
- png (Portable Network Graphic)
- gif (Graphics Interchange Format)
- bmp (Windows Bitmap)
- jpeg (Joint Photographic Expert Group image)
- jpg (Joint Photographic Expert Group image)
When File Thumbnails are enabled, other file extensions will not display thumbnails. However, the following file types will display a PDF, DOC, or XLS icon instead of a thumbnail rendering:
- pdf (Adobe Portable Document Format)
- doc (Microsoft Word)
- docm (Microsoft Word with macros)
- docx (Microsoft Word)
- dot (Microsoft Word template file)
- dotx (Microsoft Word template)
- xls (Microsoft Excel)
- xlsb (Microsoft Excel)
- xlsm (Microsoft Excel Macro-enabled)
- xlsx (Microsoft Excel)
- xlt (Microsoft Excel Template)
A generic icon will be displayed for other file types.
Size limit for viewing Excel files:
- MS Excel files over 12 MB are not viewable inside the e-Builder viewer and will be displayed in a gray font. You will still be able to upload, store them and download them from the Documents module.
- Mail Merges including MS Excel attachments that are over this 12 MB size limit will not be completed due to the size of the files and will display errors.
Bluebeam - Licensing Clarification
e-Builder's integration with Bluebeam Studio combines the collaborative real-time document markup capabilities of Bluebeam with the document management capabilities of e-Builder Enterprise.
If you already have or are planning to leverage this integration, check your licensing and ensure that you have the Bluebeam Studio Prime add-on. Note that Bluebeam Cloud packages do not necessarily include Studio Prime - which is mandatory for the integration.

Business Intelligence (BI) Reports and Dashboards (Exago) - Support Lifecycle Announcement
Starting October 1, 2023, we are moving the underlying technology we use to power e-Builder’s Business Intelligence (BI) Reports and Dashboards module into the End of Maintenance phase.
The third party tool (Exago) that powers the e-Builder Business Intelligence (BI) module has been acquired by another company and the tool is no longer under active development. As a result, the Trimble team is unable to implement any further updates to BI reporting in the e-Builder Enterprise solution and we need to move it to the end-of-maintenance phase.
You will still be able to use your BI Reports and Dashboards. We currently do not have plans to remove BI Reports or Dashboards from the e-Builder solution.
We are pleased to announce that we have selected a replacement BI tool with more modern and advanced capabilities. Additional details will be announced as they become available.

The following issues have been resolved:
AppXchange
- Resolved an issue causing a budget change process to fail where the project identifier custom field value matched a project identifier of a deleted project. (Case# 526812)
Cost
- Corrected a recent code update that temporarily allowed duplicate general invoice numbers to be created via scheduled task invoice imports and process imports, if the account had auto-fill invoice numbers disabled. Users will once again see a validation message for duplicate invoice imports and will not be able to import duplicate invoices. (Case# 514835)
- For the Account Funding Source View, updated Account Funding Source Custom Fields to display the correct fields. (Case# 522333)
Documents
- Resolved an issue that was temporarily causing the file Quick Download link to malfunction. (Case# 528144)
Mobile App
- Previously, field dependencies configured at the project level were not working on the mobile app. This issue has now been resolved and the field dependencies work as expected. (Case# 522956)
- For Processes with e-Builder Offline Mobile enabled, the system was updated to handle much greater workflow instance data than the initial design. This change allows for much larger offline workflow instances to download successfully once an internet connection is available. (Case# 529704)
Processes/ Workflow
- Resolved an issue with Dynamic Commitment Item grids where the Item Amount was not calculating correctly if a user edited a line item. Now, the amount will be updated correctly based on the unit cost and quantity for the updated line item. (Case# 517704)
- Data field assignments with an apostrophe will now work as intended. (Case# 520272)
- Resolved an issue that was causing errors when copying a process with layouts that had a large number of sections. (Case# 521572)
- Due to an issue, process instances did not properly display selected check boxes when a layout had more than 34 boxes selected. While the values for all checked boxes were being saved to the database, the check box display was incorrect. This has been resolved. (Case# 523192)
Reports
- Updated the system to ensure that both account and project level cost permissions are checked for a process before running a report. Additionally, if the user's role also is NOT included in the CanReport setting, then they will NOT be able to run the report. The "Can Report" setting controls create/ edit/ execute reports on the process type. (Case# 507496)
